Management of pancreatic trauma in urban India: A multicenter study
2022, Annals of Medicine and SurgeryCitation Excerpt :Pancreatic trauma occurs in 0.2–2% of patients with blunt trauma and 1–12% of patients with penetrating trauma [5]. The mortality and morbidity rates range from 9 to 34% and 30–60% respectively [6]. The retroperitoneal location of pancreas partly explains the low incidence of pancreatic trauma in abdominal injuries.
